Registration Process

Simple steps to get your Ghana Card

Pre-Register Online (Optional)

Visit the NIA website or use the GhanaCard App to pre-register and fill in your details. This speeds up the process at the registration center.

Visit Registration Center

Go to your nearest NIA registration center with your supporting documents. Centers are available in all 261 districts across Ghana.

Biometric Capture

Your fingerprints, photograph, and signature will be captured digitally. This information is stored securely on your Ghana Card chip.

Receive Application Slip

You'll receive a slip with your Personal Identification Number (PIN) and collection information. Keep this safe!

Collect Your Card

Return to the registration center after 2-4 weeks with your slip to collect your Ghana Card. You may also opt for home delivery.
