Identity Documents
To apply for a Ghana Card (National ID), follow these steps:
- Visit nia.gov.gh to pre-register online
- Book an appointment at your nearest NIA registration center
- Bring required documents: birth certificate, passport photo, proof of address
- Complete biometric capture at the registration center
- Collect your card after processing (usually 2-4 weeks)
Required documents for passport application:
- Ghana Card (National ID)

- Two recent passport photos
- Completed application form

To replace a lost Ghana Card:
- Visit any police station to file a report and obtain an extract
- Go to your nearest NIA district office

- Visit gra.gov.gh and click on TIN registration
- Fill in personal/business details
- Submit Ghana Card number for verification
- Your TIN will be generated instantly

Health Services
To register for NHIS:

Renew annually to maintain coverage.
Birth Registration:

Death Registration:
- Must be done within 3 months
- Bring medical certificate of cause of death
- Deceased's Ghana Card and informant's ID
Education
To enroll in public school:

Free Compulsory Basic Education covers Kindergarten to JHS.
