Ministry of Communications and Digitalisation

The Ministry of Communications and Digitalisation drives Ghana's digital transformation, regulates telecommunications, and expands broadband access to all communities. It governs electronic transactions, cybersecurity, and the national digital infrastructure that powers e-government services.

What we do

The Ministry of Communications and Digitalisation is building Digital Ghana. NITA manages the government’s digital infrastructure and the Ghana.GOV platform. The National Communications Authority licenses and regulates telecoms operators so you get better mobile and broadband coverage. The Cyber Security Authority protects government systems and citizens online under Act 1038. The Data Protection Commission enforces your rights under the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843). We are expanding fibre broadband and rolling out digital public services so every Ghanaian can transact with government from any device.
