Ministry of Education

The Ministry of Education designs and implements Ghana's education policy from pre-school through tertiary level. It ensures every Ghanaian child has access to quality, inclusive education in a safe learning environment.

What we do

The Ministry of Education makes sure every child in Ghana can learn. We set the national curriculum through NaCCA, manage over 20,000 schools through the Ghana Education Service, and oversee universities through the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission. The National Service Secretariat posts graduates to public institutions for their mandatory national service year. Our goal is a well-educated, skilled Ghana ready to compete globally.
