Ministry of Finance

The Ministry of Finance manages Ghana's public finances, prepares the annual national budget, and oversees revenue collection and expenditure. It sets fiscal policy to drive growth, manage debt, and deliver public services efficiently.

What we do

The Ministry of Finance steers Ghana’s economy through sound fiscal policy. We coordinate the annual budget, manage public debt, and set tax policy. We oversee the Ghana Revenue Authority, which collects income tax and VAT, and the Controller and Accountant-General, which disburses public funds. Our goal is a financially stable Ghana where every cedi of public money is accounted for transparently.
