Ministry of Roads and Highways

The Ministry of Roads and Highways plans, builds, and maintains Ghana's road network. It ensures safe and reliable roads that connect communities, markets, farms, schools, and hospitals across all sixteen regions.

What we do

The Ministry of Roads and Highways connects Ghana. We build and maintain national highways through the Ghana Highway Authority, urban roads through the Department of Urban Roads, and rural feeder roads through the Department of Feeder Roads. Better roads mean farmers can get produce to market faster, children can reach school safely, and ambulances can reach communities in time. We manage the Road Fund to ensure maintenance happens year-round.
