Ministry of Transport
The Ministry of Transport regulates and develops Ghana's air, sea, rail, and road transport sectors. It ensures safe, efficient, and affordable movement of people and goods across the country and through its ports and airports.
What we do
The Ministry of Transport keeps Ghana moving safely. The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority registers vehicles and issues driving licences. The Civil Aviation Authority regulates all flights in Ghanaian airspace. Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority manages Tema and Takoradi ports, which handle the bulk of Ghana’s trade. We also develop rail and promote road safety so fewer lives are lost on our roads each year.
