Beyond the Return summit to bring 5,000 diaspora investors to Accra in June 2026

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration has confirmed that the 2026 Beyond the Return Diaspora Investment Summit will take place in Accra from 18 to 20 June, with delegations expected from the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Germany, and across the Caribbean.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration has announced that the 2026 Beyond the Return Diaspora Investment Summit will be held at the Accra International Conference Centre from 18 to 20 June 2026. Over 5,000 delegates from the Ghanaian diaspora community are expected to attend, alongside representatives from the African Union, the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), and the private sector.

The summit builds on the 2019 Year of Return initiative and the ongoing Beyond the Return programme, which aims to create sustainable economic and cultural links between Ghana and the global African diaspora. This year’s theme is “Invest, Innovate, Integrate.” Key sessions will cover real estate investment, agribusiness opportunities, technology entrepreneurship, and dual-citizenship and right-of-abode pathways.

The Ghana High Commissions and Embassies in the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Germany, and the Netherlands are coordinating delegations. Diaspora Ghanaians who wish to participate can pre-register through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website. Registration is free.

For investment facilitation, the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre is offering dedicated one-to-one advisory sessions for diaspora investors during the summit. Contact GIPC at +233 30 266 5125 or visit gipcghana.com to book a session.
