Apply for a Taxpayer Identification Number

Your Ghana Card PIN is your TIN for all individual tax purposes. Businesses and entities apply for a separate TIN through GRA.

Before you apply

If you’re an individual, you already have a TIN — your Ghana Card PIN. Check your card; no separate registration is needed.

Step by step (for businesses)

  1. Register the business with the Registrar-General’s Department first.
  2. Submit the business TIN application through the GRA portal with the registration documents.
  3. Receive the TIN by email.
