File annual returns for your company

File your company's annual returns with the Office of the Registrar of Companies (ORC) each year. Filing keeps your company in good standing and is required by the Companies Act, 2019 (Act 992).

Before you file

Prepare your updated directors and shareholders register and confirm the company’s registered address is still current. Have your financial statements or summary accounts ready for the filing period.

Step by step

  1. Log in to the ORC portal at orc.gov.gh with your company registration credentials.
  2. Navigate to “Annual Returns” and select the relevant filing year.
  3. Review and update company details — directors, shareholders, registered address.
  4. Upload or enter your financial summary.
  5. Pay the filing fee.
  6. Submit and download the filing confirmation as proof of compliance.

After you file

Keep your ORC filing confirmation with your company records. Your company’s good-standing status is visible to the public on the ORC portal. A company that fails to file for 3 consecutive years may be struck off the register.
