Pay SSNIT social security contributions
Pay your monthly Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) contributions as a self-employed worker or verify that your employer is paying on your behalf.
Before you pay
Log in to the SSNIT Member Self-Service portal to confirm your current balance and check that previous contributions are correctly posted. If you are an employer, use the Employer Self-Service portal.
Step by step
- Log in at ssnit.org.gh with your SSNIT member number and PIN.
- Select “Make a Contribution” from the self-employed or voluntary menu.
- Enter the contribution amount and select your payment channel (MoMo, bank, or GhIPSS).
- Complete the payment and save the transaction receipt.
- Verify the credit appears in your contribution history within 3 working days.
After you pay
Your contribution history determines your pension entitlement. Check your statement at least once a year. Report any missing credits to your nearest SSNIT office immediately.
