Renew your Ghanaian passport

Renew your passport online through the Ghana Immigration Service portal, or at any passport office nationwide. Standard processing is about 7 working days.

Before you apply

Ensure your Ghana Card is current. Take the two passport photographs at an approved studio to the Ghana Immigration Service specifications.

Step by step

1. Apply online at passports.gov.gh or visit any passport office.
2. Pay the fee through any MoMo wallet or bank.
3. Attend the biometric-capture appointment.
4. Collect your passport when notified (~7 working days).

After you apply

Your new passport is machine-readable and ECOWAS-compatible. Check the biodata page carefully before leaving the passport office.
